electrical shit == PFM (Pure Fucking Magic)

It's amazing what they can do with those little small e-'s..

Agreed. About two years ago I found some websites which gave a thorough introduction to electrical stuff. They were basic but comprehensive. I really feel that I have a good grasp on the basics of how those"e-"s turn into sound and motion now, including AC and DC, and I can read simple circuit diagrams. When I get back to work Monday, I'll post the bookmark here.

Well, this is by far the least painful (and cheapest) thing I've done
for a broad. ha ha ha... it only goes down hill from here... -stealth

we learned it in the navy.. right hand rules, fields, dc motor generator theory.. all that crap. bleh. It's good to know and learn, that's for sure.. but my head always hurts.

Well it helps if you understand a bit about electronics. There are three well known common passive components, such as resistors, capacitors and inductors.

Resistors produce a voltage drop by opposing the electrical current, kind of like a kink in a water hose.

Capacitors simply store an electrical charge, like a battery, but a bit simpler. To make a capacitor, you really just need two conductive plates with an insulator between them.

Inductors are a little more difficult to understand, but you can compare them to how a flywheel operates. They provide a resistive force but only to changes in current. The reason for this is because they store energy in the form of a magnetic field. Transformers are a form of inductor.

A Memristor, works like a resistor, however the resistance is variable depending on the charge the device has accumulated.
