I went to my twenty year reunion (shut the fuck up, I'm not old!). It was okay I suppose. No one I really wanted to see showed up. Some people I didn't give a damn about in high school did show up. It was good to know my feelings didn't change much. Everyone looked the same as I remembered them with a few exceptions. Mostly just getting fat, bald and/or a few gray hairs.

Well with [formatc], it's kind of like cheering for the retarded kid who comes in last in the Special Olympics.

Naa... for starters my high school was so small (my class was 26 people, which was twice the size of any class in the history of the school), that instead of doing a ten year reunion, they did an all classes reunion which fell on the 9 year mark for me. Wasn't about to fly across the country to go to that.

Hey, Krux, I had a request to change some THC code. You know sometimes when if you put a link in a reply on certain pages, the actual headline of the page becomes what people see? Could you do that here? Like if I were to throw up this link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFI_%28band%29

It would appear as:

AFI (band)

?? Would get rid of those long as links I sometimes throw up.

THCNET is (and has been) an open source project, and I implemented Trac to help myself manage it. I was mainly started using Trac because it had a nice wiki, and a SVN source code viewer. So after playing with it for a bit, it turns out the ticketing system I didn't think I was going to use was pretty useful to help myself remember what I have to code. One of the cool things is that anyone can create an account and submit buts or feature requests via the ticket system as well.

Very cool, thank you. Another small idea: Once logged in, a link to get into THC email and possibly a little blurb on the main page with current amount of mail in the inbox. Don't know how hard that would be getting the THC software to communicate with Roundcube.

For the message count, since it's on the local machine, no authentication needs to take place. I would just have to write a script that returns the count of new messages in your inbox. As for a link to your inbox, I would have to rewrite the authentication of THCNET so it would work against the local passwd file, and then create the session for roundcube mail once you log in. That's a bit more difficult to do.

Then there is the decision on if that is code I want in the official code base for THCNET.

Plugin's work via an "includephp" macro. The script just has to pass it's output to the $output variable, and it's displayed on the page where called.

FWIW, I vote "no" since technically the forum can be access over non-secure http, and I don't care to have that potential hole into getting my e-mail. Which, incidentally, is also why I have separate passwords.

So basically Unicron needs to be less of a lazy fuck.

I could have the feature only work over https easily enough.

That's pretty easy. THCNET can already do what you are asking. Just send me a template set (*.template) and what browser your phone says it is, and I'll add it.

You can get the templates here: http://devel.thcnet.net/trac/thcnet/browser/trunk/themes/standard

Hey man their is a lot of honor in that career. While programmers are finding amazing, creative ways to make a computer do something original that could benefits any number of applications, hardware, and networking systems you and I are in the corner, on the phone at 3:00AM unlocking accounts for the 400lb administrative assistant that SWEARS her password must have changed on its own, and that it couldn't have been her fat fingering it for the 10th time, or wondering why she calls for the same thing 3 times a week, or you wondering how she got the job and why your boss and HIS boss doesn't think it's funny that you disabled the accounts of her entire department as "punishment".

I also liked last night spending an hour on the phone with one of our application people as he asked me time and time again if one of the customer cisco routers were up, and if he could....vpn into it. Hey, "he who barbecues and lives in Europe, you got a copy of that VPN server for IOS?"

Besides that, even if the few people I hung out with in high school had been in my grade, I keep in touch with the ones that are worth a fuck already... why spend $90 a day to hang out with them 2 more days... they just aren't worth it ;)
