This is hysterical. On the one hand I am laughing, and on the other sad that there are people that actually believe stories posted on The Onion are real.

You didn't care when the government decided it could spy on you without a warrant. You didn't care when they started telling you what you could eat. You didn't care when your kids' education was turned into indoctrination. You didn't care when they were more worried about military veterans than Islamic terrorists. You didn't care when they spent so much money that our entire economic system may collapse. You didn't care when they gave billions of your money to unions and corporations that were their political contributors. You didn't care when inert cosmetic features on guns were felonies.

So 2011 was not exactly a stellar year. It had its above average moments, but the low points bring the average way down. I am quite happy to be done with it and have high hopes for 2012. That said, if I don't see any improvement, anyone want to help me prove the Aztecs right?

It's that time of year again, the folks over at Loading Ready Run are doing their annual Desert Bus marathon in order to raise money for Child's Play. They've been bussing since November 18th, and have raised a over $256,000 dollars so far. That's over 46k more than previous year's Desert Bus ( )

Yeah, so red wine spilled on laptop. Just how jacked am I? It was unplugged and off when it happened. Let it dry for about 36 hours and now it will come on, just not into Windows. Sits at a blinking cursor for about 3 seconds, powers down, no post codes. I've heard red wine is quite possible the worse thing you can spill into a laptop. Should I be pulling it apart to wipe it down?

This is worth sharing, about having a lightsaber motion tracking game
Games ]

LucasArts has been trying, and dramatically failing, to get lightsabers right in video games for several decades now. Roughly half of all current video game players would never buy another game if you could give them a real-time lightsaber emulator. It's literally all some of us are waiting for. If a game studio could adopt this technology into a Bushido-blade-like fighting game, wherein the player bats away lasers, parries incoming enemy saber blows and callously lops off Sith hands with 1:1 accurate motion capture, the amount of money suddenly flowing into their pockets would offset the weight of the Earth and throw it out of its orbit, sending us all slowly drifting into the sun.

What do you guys think of the Certified Ethical Hacker cert? Trendy BS or something worth having? Has Anyone here ever seen it give someone the leg up in a job search? Just seems like a cool cert to have, something different.
