So I was reading this thread on another forum about how Comic Con nerds are pissed their shit is about to get over run by Twilight nerds, and people started posting lolz cosplay pictures. I came across one and I damn near shit my pants. No bullshit people, tell me this isn't Sam.

I ordered a Wii from Amazon and we got it today. After boxing my wife (she whipped my ass), I am wiped out after two rounds (she KO'd me twice in the first round of each match). So, not only am I horrifically out of shape, evidently I am a huge pussy.

NIN - Wave Goodbye

So, NIN came to town last night. WOW, what a great show! Seriously. I listened to a few tracks off the free albums lately (Ghosts I-IV and The Slip) and of course know most of the stuff from Pretty Little Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral, but I had never seen them live. The show was just incredible and better then I would have imagined. The venue ( the Heineken Music Hall) is a great such place to see shows because of it's size and acoustics so that helped. And the euro people (at least these the ones in Holland. It was pretty packed at the PJ shows in Austria and Poland) don't do the whole 'push and shove and pack all in' thing much. There's almost always room to move and be comfortable and not feel squished or anything like that. The lights and effects where amazing and the sound was just clear, booming and vivid. There was a good mix of newer stuff that I didn't know (but liked) and some older stuff (great version of Hurt and Head Like a Hole). I would have like to have heard Terrible Lie and Perfect Drug, but otherwise, it was just fantastic.

So who's planning on going to Defcon? I'll be there, likely banging my head against some strange encryption puzzle in the LosT@Con Mystery Challenge or hitting up the hardware hacker village, since I've been getting heavy into electronics lately.

I've been watching this over the weekend. 5 of the 6 parts have aired and it's in HD. It's just amazing. The islands, water shots, animals, etc. If you like nature type shows, explaining things then this is really a good series to watch. The fact that it's in HD really REALLY helps bring out the color of the little islands, the large masses of birds, etc. There are some shots of groups of fish playing 'tag' with a sea lion.. it's just fantastic. And they cool a slo-mo HD camera in the water for some big tube surfing.. DAMN. Just great to watch.

I was in my neighborhood DVD store, which in China is an utterly hilarious facade. While the building is real, nothing else is.. not even sure about the people. Every DVD in there including all the boxed sets are complete rip offs.... I love it
