Posted on the Bookface about this, but wondering if anyone else from the oldchool wants in. Anyone interested in going to E3 in 2012? According to the LA Convention center website it will be June 5th, 6th, and 7th. We can still do free registration if we register before mid April 2012, just have to submit those forms of ID :)

Looking to get a new computer with part of my bonus in a few weeks. My current one is a bit long in the tooth (AMD 3200+, 1gig ram, 1tb HD, GForce FX5600), and I NEED to play the new Total War game when it comes out in 4 sweet weeks. I know I could piece together a pretty sweet system for under 2k, but frankly I'm tired of that. Anyone know of any good pre-built gaming systems that allow for some good expandability? While I wouldn't mind having a couple 9800's in SLI, it's not required, but I'd like to have the option. I get 12% discount through Dell, so that's a plus if they have anything worth while. My main concern is having a pre-built system that isn't completely locked down with regards to Ram, Hard Drive, and Video. Budget would be about 2k including a monitor.

So with E3 being a mere husk of it's glory years, it looks like I'll be going to PAX (Penny Arcade eXpo) this year. The plan is a drive to LAX from Vegas, take the train up to Seattle, stay at the hotel across the street from the convention center, and fly back. I'm looking forward to the trip, as it's sure to be quite a bit of fun.

It is possibly the final game review ever written for RPM Games. I thought I'd post the rough draft for everyone to read. I saw that a new Doom III trailer got released at E3, for those of us behind multiple firewalls that won't allow the nifty asp plugins to be installed that most of the game sites require to download, can someone please post it in their thcnet space or on an ftp?

Well doing my packing for E3 as we speak. So much to remember to bring. Damn. At least with me driving I don't have to worry about planning space for swag. Whew, that's good since I can't find my suite case. I think Ruebella has it... somewhere. Should be pretty damn cool. This page on the L.A. Convention Centers website has a juicy bit of info regarding next years E3 convention. Looks like it's going to be held May 15th through 17th. Usually we know the date of next years shows during the current E3 thanks to the official show guide, but this year it was not listed. But every now and then some investigative journalism pays off. Start packing!
