Couple years back we had a (private) conversation about Bradley Manning in which, I think, some of us were grappling with issues of national secrets, why are some things secret, should they be secret, what responsibilities (if any) an actor has in disclosing them, and what consequences might be expected and/or justified.

Most of you guys already know I don't have any trouble with celebrating the death of a foe. In fact, I have to admit I'm a little jealous I didn't get to be the guy to do it. It does open ones eyes to hypocrisy though when you see the little church-goers dancing in the streets over a good old-fashioned assassination. I wonder how many hits a video of Osama's brains spilled out all over the desert sand would get on youtube, or worse, how many thumbs-up. But god-fucking-forbid we run a few million volts through a child rapist or pity-evoking mass murderer. That would be just wrong or some shit...

Normally I don't give two shits about celebrity news, as it is largely gossip and vicarious idiocy. However, I don't mind following celebrity news when it involves porn. This morning, the radio jocks was talking about how Vivid Entertainment has offered "Octomom" Nadya Suleman enough money to pay off her house if she would do a porno movie with them, something around $500K. Now the first thing in my mind is "hell no, that chick is not looking good!"

Silvestone has a new line of cases out where they rotated the motherboard 90 clockwise, so now the cards mount to the upper surface instead of the rear. Hot air goes up, better cooling, etc. It's an interesting concept, but it's kind of odd to think about plugging things into the top of a machine
