I picked up a WiFi version today since they just came out. I know Volt doesn't use hid I pad much but I think I might find these pretty useful for a number of things around here and there. I do love the Android OS.

Ohh, I got one as well, it's great! I use it for drum practice, web shit when i'm away from the computer, and just general bad-assedry. Can't wait til LTE gets added, shit is faaaast.

Eeee, getting there! Thanks voltman! Hehe. Bought an acoustic kit last week. Hella excited. Also grabbed a midi port for the computer so i can start recording what I do on the electronic kit. yaaay!

The Wifi only one is the same price as the iPad WiFi with 32GB. They are about $600. Got mine at Costco for $590. It was a gift from some work I had been doing for one of out clients.. he cut me a check and I picked it up. :-) I had debated getting the 3G version earlier.. but I didn't want to end up with another monthly stupid cell bill

Nice dude. I had heard the prices were much higher but don't really follow the tablet market. But that you received it as a gift means the price was perfect. ;)

Yeah, I keep forgetting my iPad at home, or at work... I can't really come up with a good use for it either.

One thing though... Time Warner Cable just came out with an iPad app... if you have their Internet Service, you can stream all kinds of channels to the device, but only within your home on your wifi. But still... it's cool for catching a show here or there, or if you're in the garage, or to prop outside on a nice nite and plug some speakers in.

Well the screen size is great for remotes for the Squeezebox.. and I use it at work streaming music over the wifi.. games are more enjoyable to play on the bigger screen and I keep it around the couch for a quick lookup on something instead of having the laptop there. It's not bad. I want to find a good carrying case for it, but I'll give it time.

The mutlitasking is the shit! going back and forth between different apps without things closing.. it's nice.
