Saw this bad boy over at Tom's Hardware. Maxtor announces their 160GB DiamondMax Hard Drive. For $329.95 you will be able to pick up a 160GB ATA/133 disk drive. That much disk space on a single disk is unfathomable.
I still have 65GB free on my IBM 75GB drive. Ok that's partially because I have about 50GB up on the file server with MP3's etc.. Right now I am copying everything from my server, local drive, and a few mounted CDROM disks onto an 80GB Maxtor I picked up for the TiVo. I want to give the drive a good burn in before I put it in the TiVo since messing with the drives on there is generally a pain, so if I can avoid swapping disks around, that's a good thing.
We've got mad hard drive space over here across our LAN and I keep running out. I must have filled my personal 60GB drive 3 times over now. Hell, I am down to about 200MB on my personal machine (which has over 120 GB). Time to burn some more CDs and make some more space. MP3 collection is nearing 50,000 songs. Damn them taking up so much space.
The price per meg for that Maxtor is pretty damn good.
