Anyone know of any casinos or companies in Vegas that are hiring entry level hardware people. I have a buddy who is moving here from Michigan and he's been doing entry level shit for the past year or two. Just hardware crap. He is checking the online job searches but I'm wondering if you guys might happen to have any inside inf0...

Is he just hardware? I'm sure getting any number of tech support positions around the valley wouldn't be difficult. Get a job doing cable modem support for Cox. I know a guy that got a job there and he tells me they have 4 weeks of training. 4 weeks to go:

1. Did you renew your IP?
2. Try reseting the box by pulling the power.

Oh yea, tele went thru a ton of shit when DHCP didn't work for his machine.

Here is COX tech support logic for you:

I remember when I first got my cablemodem. Guy couldn't get it to work when he was there. He goes "gotta be your nic, which we sell". I replied by pinging my loopback right in front of him and he goes "Yeah, sometimes they'll report a reply even if they don't work." He's now buried in the yard.

Hell yeah. I think its hella badass that a chick can code and be hot at the same time. There's something just cool about that. I'm trying to force some programming knowledge into my girl but she is too busy bringing other girls home (which is fine by me).

Another girl who is impressive is Barry's girlfriend. Oh my fucking god, I have never seen a bigger star trek geek. This girl knows simply everything about next generation. The tech I made plus into a website which I create for an additional fee. I only care about compatability with IE, all other browsers can go fuck themselves. On top of that I offer Internet marketing and search engine positioning. It's a pretty sweet deal for a realtor and pays me well enough.

It was one of those things to prompt a response of some sort, and I would disagree with what ever it was they said and then just repeat the same thing with the inflection on some different word. Repeat till they grow frustrated and leave. Worked great at the vampire games. Of course most of those people would be mentally challenged by a conversation with a piece of gum on the sidewalk.

why in gods name does he want to move out here if he is getting into IT?

Well, you know, he's looking for a challenge. I'm going to look into the IT opportunities in small third world villages without electricity or plumbing.

I have the phone number for an ISP in a remote jungle village in Peru. There are no roads to the village so he will have to either fly in or take a boat up the amazon. And no this isn't a joke I set up internet access for a radar site there a few years back.

Anyone know of any casinos or companies in Vegas that are hiring entry level hardware people. I have a buddy who is moving here from Michigan and he's been doing entry level shit for the past year or two. Just hardware crap. He is checking the online job searches but I'm wondering if you guys might happen to have any inside inf0...

I think coast casinos is always looking for good slave labor.. er.. I mean pc techs.

Aw just listening to you guy makes me even happier that I left the Orleans and Vegas. I get paid much better and don't have no where near the stress that I did before.
