Just updated the code to include the spiffy goodness which is the article ranking system I'm working on. I haven't written any of the reporting functions yet, but you can get started marking which posts you like and don't like.

Top Threads page is fubar.

It's fixed. Probably was it uses the display articles function, which was including javascript in it's output when ever it was called when you are logged in. Since the top threads report uses the article function to just pull the reply count as a variable for javascript, the variable including javascript itself didn't work well as you could guess.

Actually a few of them seemed dorked up, at least they where two days ago.

UPDATE - never mind.. they seem fine now.

so looking at random recent threads, there are a lot of posts at -1. IMHO.. for THC's use.. i think just limited positive marks or even just favorite threads might be cool. I understand someone might want it, but for here.. it just seems eh.. no needed.

That would be Caliber. And I don't like the idea of limiting the number of marks you can make. If you want to limit yourself and just mark the posts you find particularly insightful, or not use the feature at all, that's your choice. Next version will give you the ability to put in an explanation of why you thought the post good or bad. And you'll be able to see who is marking the posts up or down, so that will limit the stupid trend of just marking all posts by a user as negative. It's a new feature, so people are going to want to play with it. I wouldn't take all the -1 marks to heart. If you start seeing -10 on all your posts, then you can take it to heart.

I was originally going to put that in there, but if you used it to mark favorite posts, occasionally you run across an old post of yours that was really quite brilliant and I wanted to allow people to mark them.

Just updated the code to include the spiffy goodness which is the article ranking system I'm working on. I haven't written any of the reporting functions yet, but you can get started marking which posts you like and don't like.

Have I mentioned an "ignore thread" feature? :)

I'm currently ignoring it.

No, I don't ignore random posts. Some of them are funny as hell.

That's built in to the interface between your wrist and the mouse. It's called "don't click the fucking link". Heheh.

You could stick a sandwich in it and call it a lunch box,

Will we earn anything for making consistently informative/funny posts? I want to become a karma farming whore.

No, but that's a good report to write, who has the higher scored posts on average.

Yea. You can either give a post a 1, 0, or -1. Defaulting to 0. If you change your mind you can change it. Digg has a thing where you can ignore posts which have been marked down by a certain amount. I might add that, since it's a good feature, even though I wouldn't turn it on by default. It's not something that would really be used here, but if someone was running thcnet on a system that had a lot more users, like slashdot, I could see how it would be.
