Another great show... Orphan Black. I mentioned it on Bookface, but for all the people here that don't go there (lol) I'll mention it here.

It's a BBC show set in the US. The IMDB preview probably puts it best without giving anything away: "A streetwise hustler is pulled into a compelling conspiracy after witnessing the suicide of a girl who looks just like her."

I wouldn't read any further about it... I've almost finished Season 1, Season 2 is over and it's up for a 3rd season, so it seems like a solid show that's not getting a surprise cancellation.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2234222

Personality, I mean that's what counts, right? That's what keeps a relationship going through the years. Like heroin, I mean heroin's got a great fucking personality.

My problem is I'm usually doing other things and don't think to watch TV. I think I am somewhere in season 2 of Breaking Bad, but don't really remember... I should finish watching that at some point, since I was enjoying the show.

Yeah, you need to finish that before "Better Call Saul" starts!

While on AMC's site, I found "Turn" which looks promising. The Pilot is available here.
Had problems getting video to start in Chrome with the AdBlock extension active. Had to pause it.

I'll check that out... thanks.

I just started watching a new Showtime show last night. Looks promising. Penny Dreadful. Still not sure the angle, and haven't read up about it... but seems to be about Vampires in London in the late 1800's. These don't seem to be your handsome looking vampires though. The main character (or one of them) is Vesper Lynd from Casino Royale.

Watch it. It's different. It's not sparkly vampires, or Interview Vampires, or True Blood. Vampires while being a driving part of the story are brought in limited affairs.

Characters if you've not bothered looking are:
Ethan Chandler - Buffalo Bill actor, sharp shooter, escaping something from the US, but at the end of Season 1, yet unknown, although there is obvious speculation.
Vanessa Ives - Clairvoyant and a medium, and provides some of the creepier/hair raising scenes of possession I've seen in a while.
Sir Malcolm Murray - (Timothy Dalton) Great acting, searching for his daughter using all the other people as help/bait/whatever means.
Victor Frankenstein - We know what he did, and it's a part of the show, here it almost seems that he fits the role of the unknown Jack the Ripper, although that hasn't been specifically mentioned yet.
Dorian Gray - from the Oscar Wilde novel The Picture of Dorian Gray. The show hasn't revealed everything about him yet, but the summary here tells his story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Picture_of_Dorian_Gray

Armed robbery. With a replica. I mean, how the fuck can it be armed robbery with a fucking replica?

There is something unique about boob shots in non-porn. For me, at least. I guess porn is a little too easy, the movie/show makes you work for it. Plus its not like porn stars are actually people, so when you see a hollywood actress naked, its like seeing a real person naked...
