What didn't you get? It's based off a comic, and is kind of like watching a video game. Has lots of references gamers would get. I had not read the books prior to seeing the movie, and I thought it was great. Reading through the comics now, which are also good.

What didn't you get? It's based off a comic, and is kind of like watching a video game. Has lots of references gamers would get. I had not read the books prior to seeing the movie, and I thought it was great. Reading through the comics now, which are also good.

To be honest, the bulk of the references were to fight games and anime style comics. But yeah, that technical stuff was cool.

I didn't get the story. No, I don't need a summary outlining the events as I did watch the movie. Rather: What am I being told? Why am I following the characters? What is my vested interest in these events? Are all these admittedly cool effects covering up a nothing or are they building on what is otherwise a "good movie"? In short: who cares? The movie was very Donnie Darko to me in this sense.

Yeah, Expendables rocked. I enjoy the gun play, action sequences and the little jokes. Good stuff. Lots of stuff goes BOOM. Great cast.

Expendables was certainly a good move, but Scott Pilgrim was just done really well and uniquely, so I'd consider it the better movie. There were a lot of references that we could literally hear f the audience not getting, but as a gamer, everyone here would immediately get and think cool.

Expendables was certainly a good move, but Scott Pilgrim was just done really well and uniquely, so I'd consider it the better movie. There were a lot of references that we could literally hear f the audience not getting, but as a gamer, everyone here would immediately get and think cool.

I just hope both are in theaters for another 2 months. Then I can get them when I move back.
